Hi my name is Rylie and I’m going to tell you a little about me. I’m going to start with my favorite subjects. I like maths and music because I like solving problems in maths. In music, we learn more about theater, drama, dancing, singing and musical notes and music brings me to life. My least favorite subject is, wait I don’t have a least favorite subject. I enjoy being in class with the best teacher, Kathryn because she makes things that are boring more interesting and funny.
I have five special friends and we have made a club called the BFF Club. Which is the Best Friends Forever Club. The great things is we have fun and stick up for each other. We have things in common which is dancing and making up fantasy games. Friends are important as they can get you through a bad day at school.
I learn new things every day in the class room and outside in the playground. 5 days at school seems like a long time but with a good teacher and friends it makes it go quicker.

Our Family Science Night is approaching us very quickly. On Wednesday 19th August we invite everyone to a fun night of “Making Waves – The Science of Light”. In order to make this night a huge success we ask for your participation in donating a range of resources. We request that these items are thoroughly cleaned and in good condition:
Empty cans, plastic bottles, clear plastic and foam cups, plastic straws, icy-pole sticks, toothpicks, cling wrap cylinders, small and large paper plates, zip-locked bags, googly eyes, pom poms, balloons, fishing line and rubber bands.
Thank you all for your help.
We have been doing Battle of the Bands. Each group could choose a song. Our group chose ‘Come With Me Now’. You can play guitar, keyboard, drums and singer. If you beat the other groups in the class you verse other groups for you to win. One group from each class will verse you.

My favourite thing to do at school is Visual Arts. I like it because it is all about art and craft. It makes me very happy. Art is creative and fun and we get our hands messy. Our art teacher Julie makes art fun too. My favourite piece we made this year is the square mosaics that we made. Drawing is my absolute favourite though and I don’t mind cleaning up when I’m finished!

My favourite thing that has happened in school is Footy Day! There were LOADS of Bombers supporters, which is good for me. I may not have gotten a sausage, but I still had a great time with my friends and in class. That day in class we got to do drawing for our reports and reading. At snack and lunch, my friends and I played tiggy and gang-up tiggy. It was AMAZING and I had lots of fun.
When I got to draw on my report, I drew drag cars and I drew my writers notebook. It looks really good. When I was reading, I read a book called THE BLOB THAT ATE EVERYONE. It’s a really good book.
Thank-you for reading my post.

I’m going to start with my favourite subject in school. I like math because I like working out the problems.
My least favourite subject is writing because I don’t always like thinking up stories and writing them down, but I do enjoy going to the library and reading every single book!
My classroom is special to me because it is where I learn lots of new things with my teacher and friends.

When writing, we sometimes get to choose what we write about. Some people choose an acrostic poem, narratives, persuasive texts, songs or more. Handwriting is special to me because writing helps us to read. I like handwriting because when you write it’s your time to think about what you want to write about. Don’t worry what others say about what you have imagined when you write because when you write, you always have fabulous ideas, no matter how weird!

I am loving independent reading, recording my reading and lots more independent stuff that needs to be done on my own. I work best when working on my own which is why I like it so much. Reading helps me get better at things such as writing, maths and completing tests. Reading is so important, if you don’t read you won’t really know much.

Narrative writing lets your imagination take over. You can write about anything. A narrative is a story where nothing has to be true, kind of like a fairytale/folktale.
I love narratives the most because you don’t have to make them have any sense! They might usually start with once upon a time or one day.
Narratives are usually 4-6 pages long and use lots of description. Sometimes you have a time limit but mostly you can write for as long as you want. Narrative could leave you in suspense as it ends suddenly.
